November, 2005 was one of the darkest moments in Jordan’s history. On the night of the 9th of November, starting at around 20:50 local time, a series of coordinated terrorist attacks on three hotels, the Grand Hayat, Radisson SAS and Days Inn, took place in our nation’s capital. Around 60 people were killed and 115 were injured during that fateful night. The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan did not bow down to the whims of terrorism, however, and the Jordanian community stood strong in the face of the threats. Precautions are still taken, to this day, to ensure that such an incident is never repeated, which just goes to show that the primary concern of the country is the peace and safety of its citizens.
